In accordance with Art. 83 of Constitution is  Constitutional Court judicial body responsible for the protection of constitutionality. The Court is composed of fifteen Justices appointed by the President of the country for ten years term. The Constitutional Court is seated in Brno.

About the Seat of the Constitutional Court

The building, which has housed the Constitutional Court since its establishment in 1993, was constructed between 1875 and 1878 as the seat of the Moravian Diet. It is one of the most remarkable edifices not only in the city of Brno but also in Moravia in general.
