After passing the professional judicial examination (2006) and completing her first parental leave, she was appointed a judge at the criminal section at the Municipal Court in Brno in 2008, spending her first year temporarily assigned to the District Court in Uherské Hradiště. She has specialised in criminal law throughout her judicial career. In 2009 and 2011, she completed internships at the appellate division of the Regional Court in Brno. During the 2002/2003 academic year, she completed an internship at the Lord Slynn of Hadley European Law Foundation in London. Her host institution was the British Institute of International and Comparative Law, and she gained practical experience at Brick Court Chambers as well as serving as a marshal at the Central Criminal Court. Later in her judicial career, she participated in a study programme in the United States organised by the Defense Institute of International Legal Studies (2014), a judicial exchange in the Netherlands (2022), and a several-month internship at the European Court of Human Rights (2023).

In 2021, she completed her doctoral studies at the Charles University Faculty of Law. The same year, she started giving lectures at the Judicial Academy and she also regularly organised lectures for secondary school students at the Regional Court in Brno. She is the author or co-author of several textbooks, scholarly articles, and the monograph Protective Treatment and Preventive Detention [Ochranné léčení a zabezpečovací detence] (Leges, 2022), as well as a book about the municipality of Střelice, where she resides.

In her leisure time, she enjoys relaxing with family and friends, engaging in sports or yoga, walking her dog in nature, and travelling.

On 12 December 2024, the President of the Republic, Petr Pavel, appointed her as a Justice of the Constitutional Court.
